For the very first time in event history, the City of Athens will feature a spectacular patriotic drone show as part of the July 4th festivities.

Hundreds of high-powered drones will soar above Athens Regional Park, creating dazzling formations and animated patriotic imagery across the night sky. From American symbols to breathtaking visual displays, this cutting-edge experience promises to be something the community will remember for years to come.

Whether you’re a longtime attendee or visiting for the first time, this year’s show offers a completely new experience that blends tradition with technology in celebration of America’s milestone birthday.

Organizers want attendees to know one important detail:

THE BEST PLACE TO EXPERIENCE THE DRONE SHOW WILL BE INSIDE ATHENS REGIONAL PARK.

The aerial display has been designed specifically with park attendees in mind, making Regional Park the ideal location to fully enjoy the formations, visuals, and synchronized entertainment.

Drone Show at 9:30 p.m. — Fireworks Immediately After

The evening’s featured attractions begin at 9:30 p.m. with the debut drone show lighting up the skyline over Athens Regional Park.

Immediately following the drone performance, the traditional Buddy Liner Memorial Fireworks Show will begin, continuing a beloved local tradition while honoring America’s Independence Day in spectacular fashion.

This combination of modern drone technology and classic fireworks promises one of the most unique Fourth of July celebrations in the region.
