The City of Athens Finance Department has mailed property tax notices to property owners.

If you do not receive your notice by October 12, 2026, please contact the City Finance Department at (423) 744-2710 to obtain a copy.

Property taxes may be paid in several ways:

In person: 815 North Jackson Street, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

All property taxes are due by February 28, 2027.

Property owners are encouraged to keep an eye out for their notice and contact the Finance Department with any questions
