CITY COUNCIL & ATHENS CITY SCHOOLS BOARD OF EDUCATION

Notice is hereby given to all residents of Athens, Tennessee, and to all persons interested, that the quarterly joint meeting between the Athens City Council and the Athens City School Board of Education will be held at the Athens City School Administration Building located at 943 Crestway Drive, Athens, Tennessee, 37303 commencing at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026. This is an open public meeting. No action will be taken.

2026 STRATEGIC SUMMIT

Notice is hereby given to all residents of Athens, Tennessee, and to all persons interested, that the Athens City Council 2026 Strategic Summit will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the McMinn Higher Education Center located at 2345 Denso Drive, Athens, TN 37303. The purpose of the 2026 Strategic Summit is to review current fiscal year accomplishments and use current data and departmental input to identify FY 2026–27 budget priorities and long-term projects for the City’s Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). No action will be taken.
