The City of Athens Stormwater Management Program works to protect our community’s water resources and reduce flooding by managing the way rainwater flows off streets, roofs, parking lots, and construction sites.

We aim to keep pollutants out of creeks, rivers, and groundwater while meeting state and federal clean water standards under the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) program.
