A HUGE FIRST FOR THE CITY OF ATHENS

History will be made this weekend at Eureka Trail. For the first time ever, East Coast Adventures’ Gone Loco 55K is an official Boston Marathon–qualifying race! This Sunday, runners won’t just race the trail, they’ll race for Boston.

Eureka Trail, a former railroad bed, has been transformed into one of the best trails in the region. Stretching 5.6 miles, it’s super flat with a gravel surface and rich history under your feet. Gone Loco is currently the only endurance event to utilize this unique trail system, offering fast conditions and beautiful views throughout the course.

In addition to the 55K (33-mile) race, the event also features an 11-miler and an 11-mile ruck. East Coast Adventures designed this race for all runners, ages, and outdoor enthusiasts—from seasoned ultrarunners to first-time trail racers. Expect a fast, accessible course for everyone.
