Free Tire Disposal This Spring!

Keeping our community clean and beautiful just got a little easier. This spring, Athens and McMinn County residents have a great opportunity to responsibly dispose of old passenger vehicle tires—completely free of charge.

What You Need to Know

To ensure a smooth and fair process for everyone, please keep the following guidelines in mind:

  • Limit of 10 passenger vehicle tires per person
  • Passenger vehicle tires only (no farm, commercial truck, or off-road tires)
  • No dealers allowed
  • No rims accepted
  • Open to McMinn County residents only

Why Participate?

Improperly discarded tires can harm the environment and create safety hazards. By taking advantage of this free recycling event, you’re helping reduce waste, prevent pollution, and keep Athens and McMinn County looking their best—one tire at a time.
