Starr Regional Medical Center is now caring for patients in its brand new, multi-million dollar Intensive Care Unit (ICU) on Madison Avenue – marking a massive step forward for healthcare in our community!

The new ICU doubles the hospital’s capacity for intensive care, increasing from five rooms to ten. It also brings advanced technology to support high-quality critical care and better serve patients who need close, specialized attention.

Along with the expanded ICU, the hospital has added a new waiting area to give families a more comfortable space during difficult moments. Two additional beds are also now in the medical-surgical unit, helping the hospital care for even more patients overall.

This expansion reflects continued growth in local healthcare and reinforces Starr Regional’s commitment to serving Athens, McMinn County, and the surrounding area.
