Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Athens, Tennessee, will hold a public hearing and consider second reading of Ordinance No. 1149 on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., at Athens City Hall, Burkett Witt Council Chambers, 815 North Jackson Street. Public comments will be accepted at this public hearing.  All parties wishing to speak on this issue should be present at the hearing or submit comments to the Director of Community Development, 815 North Jackson Street, Athens, Tennessee 37303 or via email at acasteel@athenstn.gov on or before the public hearing date.  A copy of the ordinance is available for inspection at the Athens City Hall during normal business hours (Monday – Friday) between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. or can be viewed online at the following website:  www.athenstn.gov.
