The City of Athens will conduct a Public Hearing on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in Athens City Hall, 815 N. Jackson Street, Athens, Tennessee 37303.
Second Reading of Ordinance 1148:
An Ordinance Amending the City of Athens, Tennessee Municipal Zoning Ordinance Regulating Development within the Corporate Limits of Athens, Tennessee, to Minimize Danger to Life and Property Due to Flooding, and to Maintain Eligibility for Participation in the National Flood Insurance Program.
Any individual wishing to speak on this issue should be present at the hearing or submit comments to the Director of Community Development, 815 North Jackson Street, Athens, Tennessee 37303 or via email at acasteel@athenstn.gov on or before the public hearing date.
A copy of the ordinance is available for inspection at the Athens City Hall during normal business hours (Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) or can be viewed online at: www.athenstn.gov.
