This video shows a driver ignoring the rules, and passing a stopped school bus as children are about to board.

When a school bus stops and its red lights are flashing, it means children are getting on or off the bus. Their safety depends on drivers paying attention & knowing the rules of the road.

This is completely illegal.

You should never pass a stopped school bus with flashing red lights, in both directions, unless you are on a divided highway with a *physical* median.

A few seconds can save a life.

For most drivers, stopping for a school bus adds less than a minute to their commute. That small pause could prevent a lifetime of regret.

Every time you see a stopped school bus, remember: those flashing red lights mean children are nearby. Their safety is more important than being on time.
